Qatar Reiterates Full Support for Libya's Government of National Accord

The State of Qatar reiterated its full support for Libya's Government of National Accord and for all international mediation efforts aiming to complete the path of political transition, establish security and stability, combat terrorism and extremism in Libya and to support the Libyan people out of their crisis as well as achieving the desired consensus in order to preserve the unity and sovereignty of Libya.


Qatar Welcomes Palestine's Membership in INTERPOL

The State of Qatar welcomed the admission of the State of Palestine to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) during its General Assembly in Beijing. In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that this achievement will help in tackling the dangers and challenges facing the Palestinian cause.



Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Confirms Illegality of the Siege Imposed on Qatar

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi has affirmed the State of Qatar's categorical rejection of the unilateral coercive measures and the illegality of the siege imposed on Qatar. In a statement at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement on "Promulgation and Implementation of Unilateral Coercive Measures, in Violationof International Law and the Human Rights of the Peoples Subjected to Them," held on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, HE Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi said that the State of Qatar affirms its categorical rejection of unilateral coercive measures because they are illegal and contrary to the principles and purposes of the Charter.


Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Confirms Qatar's Commitment to Achieve Sustainable Water-Related Development's Goals

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi reiterated the State of Qatar's commitment as a partner in supporting efforts to achieve the goals and objectives of water-related sustainable development. HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs stressed that the State of Qatar will spare no effort to contribute to the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028."


Qatar Reiterates Support for Palestinian National Reconciliation

The State of Qatar reiterated its firms stances towards the Palestinian cause and its full support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and ending the occupation, stressing its backing for achieving a Palestinian national reconciliation and unity among the Palestinian people so as to liberate it and establish an independent sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on 1967 borders.

Foreign Minister: Qatar Ready to Support Iraq to Restore Its Regional and International Role

Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has affirmed Qatar's readiness to support brotherly Iraq in order to restore the unity of its people, rebuild its damaged areas and restore its Arab, regional and international role. Addressing the high-level event on supporting accountability and justice for post-conflict in Iraq, HE the Foreign Minister expressed Qatar's aspiration to work with the international community to support Iraq and to promote international peace and security.
