Qatar Strongly Condemns Kabul Explosion

The State of Qatar expressed its strong denunciation and condemnation of the explosion that took place in the Afghan capital Kabul, which resulted in deaths and injuries. In a statement Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons. The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the Government and the people of Afghanistan, wishing the injuries a speed recovery.


Qatar Strongly Condemns Shooting in Texas

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incidents in the cities of Midland and Odessa, in the state of Texas, USA. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, whatever the motives and reasons. Statement on the bloody confrontations in Aden and Abyan

The State of Qatar called on all Yemeni parties to prevail the voice of wisdom and the interest of its people and not to tear apart the social fabric, as well as to stop immediately the military escalation and return to the outcome of the comprehensive national dialogue agreed upon by political forces and all spectrums of the Yemeni people. In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the State of Qatar is following with great sorrow and sadness the military developments and bloody confrontations in Aden and Abyan, adding that the war in Yemen has been prolonged and the human tragedy deepened in such a way that it cannot be overlooked. The statement added the recent developments are a clear indication of the futility of this war and the continued tampering of the resources of the Yemeni people. The State of Qatar reiterates its full support to the brotherly Yemeni people to preserve their security, safety, and unity, the statement pointed out.


Qatar Strongly Condemns Announcement by Honduras to Open Diplomatic Office in Occupied Jerusalem

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the announcement by Honduras to open a diplomatic office in occupied Jerusalem in preparation for moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this step as a departure from the international consensus reflected in the rejection of the United Nations General Assembly to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and its call on all states to refrain from establishing diplomatic missions there. The statement affirmed Qatar's firm and permanent stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people on the basis of the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Qatar Confirms Proceeding with Dispute Settlement over UAE's Illegal Measures

The State of Qatar has welcomed the progress made in the dispute settlement procedures for the lawsuit filed against the UAE before the World Trade Organization (WTO). In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the State of Qatar achieved an important victory earlier this month after the UAE withdrew its case before WTO regarding the UAE allegations of restrictions on imports to Qatar from the UAE. The statement added that a delegation from the State of Qatar met this week with a UAE delegation before the WTO dispute settlement committee to adjudicate the lawsuit filed by the State of Qatar against the UAE for imposing a series of arbitrary trade measures since June 2017. Hearings were held in Geneva for three days at WTO headquarters.

Qatar Congratulate Sudan on Signing the Constitutional Document

The State of Qatar has congratulated the sisterly Republic of the Sudan and the Sudanese people on the official signing of the constitutional document under the auspices of the African Union and with the tireless efforts of the friendly Republic of Ethiopia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Saturday that signing the document was the result of the struggle and sacrifices of all the sectors of the Sudanese people, especially the youth who are aspiring for freedom and justice, adding that it also reflects the awareness, of those in charge in Sudan, of the importance of this defining moment in the history of their country as well as the need to uphold the public interest and abide by dialogue.
