DUTA BESAR NEGARA QATAR TERIMA KUNJUNGAN CEO RAJAWALI PROPERTY GROUP

Ibu Fawziya Edrees Salman Al-Sulaiti, Duta Besar Negara Qatar Untuk Republik Indonesia, pada hari Rabu 04/03/2020 bertempat di kantor beliau, telah menerima kunjungan Ibu Shirley Tan, CEO Rajawali Property Group, dan Bapak Jonathan Pincus, Presiden Rajawali Foundation. Dalam pertemuan tersebut dijelaskan aktifitas dan program Rajawali Property Group dalam pelayanan masyarakat dan pengembangan skill para pemuda untuk mempersiapkan mereka masuk ke pasar kerja. Pertemuan tersebut juga membahas potensi-potensi investasi dan upaya peningkatan kerjasama antara Negara Qatar dan Rajawali Property Group.

HE Fawziya Idrees Salman Al-Sulaiti, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Indonesia participated today Wednesday, 26 February, 2020 at the inauguration ceremony of the establishment of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Indonesia and the parliaments of friendly countries upon the request of HE Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was also attended by HE Mahindra Siregar, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Indonesia and several heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Indonesia.


Qatar Reaffirms Unjust Blockade Flagrant Violation of Principles of Equality, Sovereignty, Safety, UN Charter

The State of Qatar reaffirmed that the unjust blockade imposed on it for more than two and a half years, and the attempt to impose dictates and policies on it are flagrant violation of the principles of equality, sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter, and contradicts the efforts of the Special Committee aimed at respecting the Charter and international law. This came in a statement made by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani at the meeting of the Special Committee on the UN Charter and on the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization at the UN headquarters in New York. Her Excellency stated that the State of Qatar continues to support UN organs to enable them to perform their tasks and to enhance the position of the United Nations and achieve its goals, stressing that the various pressures have not prevented the State of Qatar from proceeding in international cooperation and respecting international covenants, foremost of which is the United Nations Charter.


The Embassy Observes the National Sports Day 2020

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Jakarta, Indonesia has celebrated today, 11th February 2020, the Qatar National Sports Day, which falls on the second Tuesday of February every year. The event was attended by the President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, President of the Indonesian University of Syarif Hidayatullah, and heads representatives of Diplomatic Missions of brotherly and friendly countries, embassy’s staff and employees of the Qatari companies and institutions in Indonesia, including "Indosat Ooredoo, QNB, Qatar Airways, Qatar Charity Society, Qatar Red Crescent, Al-Jazeera TV Bureau and a number of Indonesian dignitaries" . The ceremony, which was held at the National Stadium of the Republic of Indonesia in Senayan, covered various sports activities including walkathon, soccer, table tennis and badminton.


Qatar Reiterates Firm and Supportive Stance of Palestinian People Rights

The State of Qatar has reiterated its firm stance towards the Palestinian issue, which is the Arab position committed to establishing the peace process on a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement based on international legitimacy that maintains all the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to self-determination, and the establishment of its independent State on the borders of the June 4, 1967 , with its capital in East Jerusalem, and the return of refugees, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the terms of reference of the peace process, foremost of which is the principle of the two-state solution. This came in the speech of the State of Qatar, delivered by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, at the emergency ministerial meeting held today at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.


Qatar Rejects False Accusations by Eritrean Information Ministry

The State of Qatar has totally rejected false accusations contained in a statement by the Eritrean Ministry of Information, stressing that Qatar has nothing to do with any factions or groups in Eritrea, a matter which the Eritrean government knows very well. In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was surprised by the sudden issuance of the Eritrean statement by the Ministry of Information, instead of resorting to the diplomatic and legal channels that are recognized in the international community. This raises suspicion about the real intentions and the parties behind this unrealistic statement", the Ministry's statement noted. The statement said that the State of Qatar had delivered a protest note in April to the Ambassador of the Republic of Eritrea to Qatar, expressing its disapproval and surprise at a similar statement issued by the Eritrean Ministry of Information. The statement said that the Ambassador of the Republic of Eritrea to the African Union had called on the State of Qatar to mediate between his country and Djibouti in their border dispute in 2017, considering the State of Qatar was the main negotiator of the peace agreement signed between the two countries in 2010, if the Eritrean government had any doubt about the truth of these ridiculous allegations issued by the Ministry of Information,it would not have made this request." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the Eritrean Ministry of Information to consider the facts and the roots of the problems, rather than accusations and falsification of the facts of a country where the friendly Eritrean people only have full respect and appreciation.


Qatar Condemns Attacks on Mosque in France

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack on a mosque in southwestern France, which left two people injured. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. The statement stressed Qatar's total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidating civilians. The statement also expressed the State of Qatar's wishing for speedy recovery to the two injured.


Qatar Strongly Condemns Explosion Led to Children's Death in Afghanistan

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing in the province of Faryab in northwestern Afghanistan, which killed eight children and injured another child. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the shooting incident in the U.S. southern state of Texas, which resulted in two deaths and injuries. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence, terrorism, and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons. The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of the U.S., wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
