The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the assassination of three senior officials in the Iraqi province of Diyala, in successive armed attacks.

In statement today, the Ministry of Foreign affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and causes.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and people of Iraq.
