The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a security checkpoint in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan, killing 15 police officers and wounding two others.

In a statement Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of victims, and the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
