H.E Ahmed bin Jasim Alhamar ambassador of the State of Qatar toIndonesia has visited on Thursday 14/9  the headquarter of  Tempo newspaper and magazine, it's one of the most  important and well established independent journalistic institution in Indonesia. The visit comes  through  the frame  for reaching and to connect with governmental parliamentary,  political parties and media institutions.

H.E has met with Mr. Korniawan the Director of international affairs section, and a number of heads of sections, and journalists of the Tempo newspaper and magazine. H.E praised the positive neutrality which is the formal Indonesian position regarding the Gulf crisis, and  aiming for solving the problem with the siege  countries through dialogue, and perform  more pressures on these countries to sit on the negotiation table. H.E. also commended the Indonesian media coverage of the crisis with neutrality, and he confirmed the importance of media in conveying the facts.

 H.E. Mr. Alhamar reviewed with the Tempo the Qatari points of view and Qatari stand   towered the crisis, and he responded to their inquiries  and refuted the siege  countries allegations.

 HE. also welcomed cooperation with Indonesian media institutions particularly the Tempo institution, and expressed his readiness to provide them with media materials and answer for their inquiries about the state of Qatar.

 Mr. Kornian said that Tempo newspaper and magazine determined  to follow the events in the region in an objective manner, and appreciated H.E's keen to communicate effectively with   the Indonesia media  institutions and to provide information form direct source for better understanding  of the Qatari stand.
