On Thursday 03/08/2017, the Center for Policy Analysis and Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia organized a panel discussion under the title: “Opportunities for Indonesia as a new trading partner and exporter of building materials to the State of Qatar”.

His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmed bin Jassim Al-Hamar, participated in this panel discussion at the invitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Director of the Middle East and Gulf Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and a number of governmental companies in the field of construction and building materials.

The attendees discussed opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and economics and encouraging mutual investment. The participating governmental companies offered an overview of their capabilities. The two sides stressed their keenness to develop intra-trade and the need to exchange official visits at a governmental level in economic fields or at the level of businessmen.
